Therapeutic Recreation

The recreation staff offers a wide variety of recreation programming to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs of the residents. The recreation facilitators complete initial leisure assessments on all new residents to develop a therapeutic recreation care plan to meet each resident’s individual needs and preferences. Care plans are updated when required to meet the residents’ personal changing needs. Individual and group programs are designed to meet each resident’s desire for involvement.

Individual and group programs are developed to enhance each resident’s quality of life, self-worth, independence, enjoyment and socialization.
